Replacement Parts For Leak-Proof Wheel Hub Seals Of R170W-7/R170W Wheeled Excavators
Working Principle

This hydraulic/mechanical combination seal achieves optimal sealing through an elastic sealing lip, preload spring, and dustproof structure:

  • The sealing lip (rubber material) adheres tightly to the shaft/hub surface under spring preload, forming an initial seal
  • When lubriCing oil/hydraulic oil pressure exists inside the hub, the pressure opens the sealing lip, further enhancing contact surface fit (self-tightening sealing effect)
  • Some models include a dustproof ring to prevent external dust, water, and contaminants from entering

Post-Installation Inspection
  • Rotation Test: Manually rotate the hub to confirm no jamming or abnormal noise (if any abnormality found, disassemble and check if seals are misaligned)
  • Leakage Test: After starting equipment, run at low speed for 5-10 minutes and observe for oil leakage at seals
  • After equipment has been working for 1-2 hours, check cleanliness of seals and presence of any leaks again
