Working Principle

This hydraulic/mechanical combination seal achieves optimal sealing through an elastic sealing lip, preload spring, and dustproof structure:

  • The sealing lip (rubber material) adheres tightly to the shaft/hub surface under spring preload, forming an initial seal
  • When lubricating oil/hydraulic oil pressure exists inside the hub, the pressure opens the sealing lip, further enhancing contact surface fit (self-tightening sealing effect)
  • Some models include a dustproof ring to prevent external dust, water, and contaminants from entering
